Labor Day in Charleston
The unofficial end of summer is upon us! (Summer officially ends on September 22.) Labor Day is YOUR holiday; a holiday for the working people of Ameriaca. Don’t waste your extended weekend binge watching on the couch. Check out the following list of events to find something to end your summer properly.
Edisto River Adventures
Check out the great out doors and enjoy a lazy day tubing down the river. They also offer paddle boarding and kayaking for those of you who prefer to steer your vehicle in the direction you’d have it to go.
Deep Water Vineyard
This beautiful vineyard in Wadmalaw is a fun place to try local wines and get back to nature. They generally host food trucks for you to grab a bite while you’re exploring the grounds. If wine isn’t your speed, they are also home to Firefly Distillery where you can taste some their delicious vodka selection.
The Lowcountry Jazz Festival
This year is the 10th Annual Lowcountry Jazz Festival. The event opens on Friday with an All White Party Affair. Grammy nominated instrumentalists and vocalists headline this 2 Day festival happening at the Galliard Center.
End of Summer White Affair, Republic Garden & Lounge

Working Out New Material, Aziz Ansari
And while not necessarily happening during the Labor Day weekend, I’d be remiss if I didn’t share with you that Aziz Ansari will be performing at the Galliard Center on Tuesday and Wednesday to help you laugh your way into fall.
