5 Bars in Charleston for Vibes and Aesthetics
I can’t believe it’s already the middle of February. I had really big intentions for the blog this year. I wanted to do an entire series leading into Valentine’s day. But recently personal tragedy struck and my blog isn’t organized enough to multitask as well as needed. I’ll get there, but in the meantime I wanted to share some of my favorite lounges.
Lounges to me are places with comfortable seating, music that’s easy to converse over, and good drink options. A great pre-dinner option for first dates; if drinks don’t go well then you don’t have to go through with dinner. If ever you want to extend a date, a lounge is a great place to go to get to know each other better. Or maybe just a cute Galentine’s get-together.
5 Bars in Charleston for Vibes and Aesthetics
The Cocktail Club
The Cocktail Club is old faithful. It’s probably the catalyst for seeking out unique lounges with great drinks in Charleston. My go-to is The Double Standard with Bacon Popcorn.
The Citrus Club
If you want to feel exclusive and expensive, The Citrus Club is it. Located at the top of the Dewberry Hotel, this tiki-style lounge has the absolute best views of Charleston and a fun drink menu to boot. Unlike the others on this list, The Citrus Club requires reservations.
The Parlour
The Parlour is a quaint bar above Parcel 32. The seating makes conversation easy and the drinks focus on uber classic cocktails. Just about every angle of this restaurant and bar is perfect for Instagram ready pictures. (E.g. picture of me at The Parlour.)
The Spectator
A classic hotel bar, stepping into The Spectator feels like stepping into the library of an eclectic alcoholic. Expert mixologists provide an ever-rotating drink menu.
The Victor Social Club
If you enjoy live music with your cordials, The Victor Social Club is a place to check out. Half of the excitement is discovering it down Hutson Alley.
Let me know below which of these lounges you’ve been to and those you’re excited to try.
